Among other things, the formula contains thyme and the herb white horehound. White horehound helps ease dry coughs as used in western herbal medicine, while thyme is used as an expectorant.
These capsules contain Balloonflower, used traditionally in Chinese medicine to relieve coughs associated with the common cold
The formula also contains Elecampane, Elecampane acts as a lung tonic, eases mild bronchial coughs and soothes bronchial irritation, based on its traditional use in Western herbal medicine.
Finally, the addition of Chinese liquorice is used to ease coughs and expel phlegm as used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)
