It’s no secret that eating well is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. But, let’s be honest, sometimes it’s hard to know if you’re getting the right balance of foods and if what you’re putting on your plate is, in fact, healthy.

That’s why we’re excited to share the Food Tracker with you. It’s a free tool to help inspire you to make healthier food choices and achieve a more balanced diet, based on the Australian Dietary Guidelines.

What is the Food Tracker?

The Food tracker is a free tool that allows you to see your shopping patterns and purchases by providing you with a summary on how your purchases stack up against the core food groups based on the Australian dietary guidelines.

They are:

  • Meat & alternatives
  • Fruit
  • Dairy & alternatives
  • Grains
  • Vegetables & legumes

From here, you’ll be able to see the balance of your shop and healthylife may provide you with some healthier options or swaps.

Where to find it?

You can find Food Tracker in the Woolworths app, Everyday Rewards app and in your healthylife profile.

How does it work?

  1. Link your Everyday Rewards Card to Food Tracker
  2. Complete your Woolworths grocery shop (and scan your Everyday Rewards Card)
  3. Check the balance of your basket.

  2. Food Tracker is useful for the whole family
    1. We want to provide information that is relevant to your household. If you shop for other family members, make sure you include them under the ‘Your Household’ section. That way, we can tailor your results to reflect the unique requirements of your household and take into consideration the different recommended serves for everyone in your home.

  3. Shopping for a party or special occasion?
    1. You can choose to exclude this from your healthylife Food Tracker. To do this, click on the food group it belongs in and tick the "exclude" box next to it.

The idea is to show your shopping patterns over time. It helps to make you more aware of your shopping habits and inspires you to make healthier food choices and achieve a more balanced diet by making small and easy changes.
